Cheesy Hash Brown Potatoes-Kathy

2 pounds hash browns, thawed

1/4 pound butter or margarine, melted

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 cup sharp Cheddar cheese, grated

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 pint sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all together; put on casserole dish. Top with 2 cups crushed corn flakes and 1/2 cup cheese. Bake for 40 minutes.
